It's gray rainy and totally yucky outside here today, but NOT INSIDE! It's coaster basket class today! Some of my nicest customers are coming today to learn how to make these baskets. The bunny is made out of Stampin' Ups punches. Circle punches and ovals for the ears. These little bunnies have been "poppin'" up everywhere, aren't they cute?

The second one is made out of the Au Chocolate paper. I have to say that I wasn't totally impressed with this paper in the catalog, but WOW is it fun in person. It really beautiful! I just added a front to it with little flower from the Little Pieces set punched out and layered in a circle.

Simple Friend

Nothing terribly exciting today ladies. Just a simple card using the new set "That's Nice" from the spring suppliment. I'm not sure how well the picture will translate but the white cardstock was first stamped with the linen background stamp to add a little texture. Hope you all have a great day, it's gray and rainy here in today in Minnesota. I'm off to my "real job", apparently business is booming at the Birthcenter today-HAVE A GREAT ONE!!!!

So these little Easter baskets made out of the Round Tab punch are soooo cute. The handle is made out of the two oval punches, and the eggs out of the small oval punch. If you are a visual learner (like me) check out Stamp A Little Love, she has a great explanation of the basket there.

Easter Basket tin

This tin is such a fun easy gift item. You can find them in the wedding section at Micheals as favor tins. (I think I've seen them at Walmart too.) The tin is just filled with Cadbury mini eggs (MY FAVORITE ALL TIME EASTER CANDY!) I'll post a link in the next post about making the little basket.

"Swell News" Shadow Box

Okay, just one more shadow box card since it is the theme for today!!! This uses the "Swell News" set. I cut her dress out of some of the paper from the Spring Mini suppliment. I colored everything in with a blender pen. To bad I don't have anyone to send it to right now!!!

Shadow Box Card

How cute are these shadow box cards? One uses the set "Wild about you" and the other uses the "Both Way Blossoms" and the words from "Brighter Tomorrow". I added some googly eyes to the little critters for some added fun. Really fun to make!

Here's how to make a Shadow Box card.
1. Cut 2 pieces of cardstock to 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 (same as a quarter piece of cardstock). Score the short end at 1/2" and 1".
2. Cut out oval (circle or square) using the Coluzzle cutting system, on the piece of paper that will be the front of your card. (If you have an oversized punch that would work too.)
3. Stamp image for the inside of the card on the other piece of paper making sure that the image will be seen through the oval. You may want to place the piece of paper that has the oval over the other one and stamp through the open oval to ensure the image is placed right. Finish image with embellishments.
4. Fold outer edges of both pieces along score lines so they will match to create the shadow box. Place sticky strip or strong adhesive on outer 1/2" and put together. Complete outside of the shadow box. This card can lay flat and be put into an envelope.

Spring has sprung!

Well, it is finally spring here in Minnesota. The high today is supposed to be 75!!! Yippee. I think I'm getting the blogging thing figured out just a bit more. I thought that called for a great "Springy" card. We made this fun card at my last card class. I love these both way blossoms that are a level two hostess set. This card is so simple and elegant. KEEP IT SIMPLE. I have to remind myself of that sometimes.

I am helpless

Okay I'm so not computer savvy. I said to myself if I started a blog it couldn't be a time sucker for me. Well here I am on day 3 of the blog and frustrated because I cannot upload a picture. It was all going to be so simple. Each day just post a cute project and a little note. But alas, not the case. So I will keep working at it, I'm sure there is an easy answer to this but of course, I'm clueless. Let's try this again.

MY FIRST BLOG

Well I am so new to all of this I can't even begin to explain how scary this is for me!!!!! I'm hoping to be able to keep up with it each day and share a little piece of me with you. This is a picture of the project for my class coming up on March 31st. Bear with me in these first few days as I figure out what the heck I am doing.
