I think it's time for some CANDY!

So I hit over 3000 hits overnight, and I think that calls for a little blog candy!!!! This my first ever blog candy too!!! It contains a complete set of the Friends and Flowers simply scrappin kit, 3 large paper clips for you to alter, and 6 each of the round and oval giga punch for you to play with.

I also want to say a HUGE thank you to all you who left a sweet comment about my sister's cancer diagnosis and how many for you said you would send cards. If you haven't read that entry page down and please consider sending her a card!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am TRULY touched by the support for her that strangers and friends have both shown.

So to play along for the blog candy, you have to think MOVIES!!! I LOVE movies, you name it I'll watch it EXCEPT for horror, I won't waste my time or my sanity. So what I want to know in your comment is what it one of your all time favorite movies and your favorite scene or a good quote from that movie.

Let me give you a couple examples:
The Notebook-yes it is one of my all time favorites-I CRY every time!!!!! You can't beat the scene where she returns to see Noah, and they go and see all the swans (white geese, not sure which they are) and on the dock she says "it wasn't over for me" and he says "it's still not over", and if you've seen the movie you know where it goes now.
Out of Africa-I LOVE that movie! I know some people don't but it's epic to me. I love in the beginning when you hear her say "I had a farm in Africa". The moral of that movie is don't get syphilis.
Best unknown movies: Powder, and the Power of One.
I better stop I could go on and on and on and............
I pick a winner Thursday morning

Out of Africa is one of my all time favorites as well. I have seen it many times, and each time had a different reaction to it, depending on where I was in life. But, I think Moonstruck is right up there at the top. I love everything about it, the acting was superb, it was funny and serious. My favorite scene is the aunt answering the door and coming back to the kitchen saying "It's Johnny Comararrie". Just the way she says it, with everyone at the table, is hilarious. Bu, I am like you, if it is a movie, I'll watch it.

my favorite movie is: sound of music. i have the entire thing memorized!!

i can't even pick a favorite quote, but the first one that came to me was this one:

Captain von Trapp: It's the dress. You'll have to put on another one before you meet the children.

Maria: But I don't have another one. When we entered the abbey our worldly clothes were given to the poor.

Captain von Trapp: What about this one?

Maria: The poor didn't want this one.

Congratulations on a great blog!
And thanks for such a fun blog candy contest :)

My favorite movie is "Singing in the Rain". Every time I hear Lina talk...it's hysterical!

Lina Lamont: If we bring a little joy into your humdrum lives, it makes us feel as though our hard work ain't been in vain for nothin'. Bless you all.

One of my favorite movies is Grease. I know all the words and have seen it a million times and have seen the musical play twice! My favorite scene is the American Bandstand dance off. The only line that I can remember off hand is hickeys from Knicky is like a hallmark card..pretty sad huh?

Michael: Remember what John and Paul said.

Ooooh! I'd be thrilled to win your blog candy! I just recently saw The Notebook for the first time, and it was a great movie about a lifetime of love. Don't we all want that? Another of my favorites is Shawshank Redemption. I love the scene where the warden realizes that he is gone. I haven't watched it in a while....time to get it out again.

I always cry through the NOTEBOOK also. I haven't watched some of the older films like Out of Africa in a long time so will have to pull them out. Last New Year's day, my granddaughter and I stayed in jammies all day and just wathced movies. It was great!
As for favorites - I am definitely a Richard Gere fan and my favorite of his most recent films is "Shall We Dance?". He is so-o-o-o sexy with or without a uniform.
Thanks for doing this Kat.

Hi! I won't watch horror either! I get too scared. I like comedies, which is why Office Space is my fav. movie! "um, yeah, we're gonna need you to go ahead and come in to work on Saturday." "Didn't you get the memo? You need to put a coversheet on your TPS report!" Thanks!

I loved the romantic, yet tragic movie Titanic. My favoeite scene was her on the front of the ship, getting ready to jump. Her dress and shoes were so pretty in that scene. My favorite quote was when they were hanging onto a platform after the ship sunk and He tells her He was glad he won the tickets because thats where he met her.

One of my favorite movies is "A Beautiful Mind." It's based on the life story of John Nash, a Nobel Prize winner and schizophrenic. A pivotal moment in understanding his mental illness occurs when he realizes the little girl he sees isn't real. As his wife is about to drive off in the rain to leave him, John jumps in front of her car and says, "She never gets old. Marcy can't be real - she never gets old."

I think this is Russel Crowe's best performance. He's truly brilliant.

For now I'd have to say my favorite is "Phantom of the Opera". Great cinematography, singing, and acting. I love it.

My favorite movie is "Life is Beautiful." I won't tell my favorite scene, because it gives away the ending, but I really love the whole movie!! It is amazing!

Hi...and congratulations on your blog!

My favorite movie is Tootsie.
I love when they are trying to film her:

Rita Marshall: I'd like to make her look a little more attractive.
How far can you pull back?

Cameraman: How do you feel about Cleveland?

One of my most recent favorites is SHOPGIRL which was actually a book written by Steve Martin. I didn't see this movie until in was on pay per view. It made me cry and be happy at the same time. It is a must see for those who like a more modern type love story. I have had it saved on TiVo for ever!!

One of my favorite movies is Tootsie. My favorite part is everyone's expressions when Dustin Hoffman's character reveals that he's really a man. Those expressions are priceless:)

Karen will be in my prayers and I'll send a card asap. I am also in an almost 4 yr. cancer battle and know much it's meant to me to have so many caring people praying for me and sending well wishes. May God bless your sister.

well I am not sure if this will count because it is not a movie, but a series. Prison Break, it is just so good that it is hard to wait until next week. The notebook was another fav of mine, it has a great moral to the story! And yes it made me cry too.

I also like the movie Out of Africa. But I'd still have to say that Pretty Woman is the one movie that I've watched over and over again.
Favorite movie – Pretty Woman
I love the scene where Vivian & Edward are at the Opera and the older woman asks Vivian how she liked the Opera and she said ‘it was so good I just about pee’d my pants’. When the older lady asked what she said, Edward said ‘She said she liked it better than Pirates of Penzance’

I also like the part where Edward is asking Vivian for directions and he says ‘You can't charge me for directions! and Vivian says ‘I can do anything I want to baby, I ain't lost.

I'm such a martial art-matrix-blade-sci-fi girl that anyone who knows me would be shocked that my all-time favourite movie is 'Before Sunrise'. It's a painful-sweet movie about a too-short romance. Very vivid, believable characters - really captures the 'first blush' of love (or what you hope is love when you first meet!). Okay, that was an over-the-top post for me! Great question, congrats on the hits!!!

"Love Story" is one of my favorites, I cried all through the movie, got the book and cried all over again.

I have a lot of favorite movies, but Moonstruck with Cher and Nicolas Cage is great. There are so many good lines in it, but I love when Cher and Cage sleep together and he says he loves her. She slaps him HARD and says,"snap out of it". Makes me laugh each time.
